Project Description
For this final project, I designed an 8-page magazine layout called Made Moments – Spring 2025. The goal was to create a polished and professional publication using proper grid systems, parent pages, styles, and print-ready formatting.
Since event planning combines both organization and creativity, I wanted the design to reflect elegance and clarity. I chose a soft pastel palette and floral motifs to convey a light, celebratory feeling while keeping the structure clean and easy to follow. The content included checklists, timelines, budgeting tips, and design trends — making the guide both visually appealing and practical.
Colour Palette
The palette mixes romance and freshness with a bold grounding tone:
Rose Pink: Soft, romantic, and elegant — used in headers and floral motifs.
Coral: Warm and lively, adding vibrancy and energy to the layouts.
Light Yellow: Gentle highlight tone that brings warmth and balance.
Minty Blue: Fresh and modern, offering contrast against the warmer shades.
Black: Strong grounding element, ensuring structure, readability, and sophistication.
Together, these colours create a palette that feels celebratory yet professional — perfect for the theme of event planning.
Project Type: Multi-Page Magazine Layout

Typography & Style
Typography & Style
Headers: Modern, bold serif/sans-serif pairings for impact and structure.
Body Text: Clean, readable sans-serif font to ensure flow and clarity.
Decorative Accents: Script and calligraphic type for emphasis on elegance.
Layout choices relied on a grid system with consistent margins and gutters. I used paragraph and character styles, nested lists, drop caps, and object styles to maintain consistency and polish across pages.
Reflection
This project was both a creative and technical challenge. It helped me strengthen my InDesign skills, especially in working with grids, styles, and professional document setup. I enjoyed balancing practical content with an elegant, inviting design that feels like a real-world event magazine. This piece demonstrates my ability to create layouts that are not only visually appealing but also structured for professional printing and publication.
